The Thom Finn Impact Fund honors the memory of Thom Finn, a proud gay man who overcame the disease of alcoholism to lead a productive and purposeful life. As did Thom, the mission of the Fund is to positively impact others through grants to nonprofit and educational organizations working to improve the lives of LGBTQ community members, particularly youth and those in recovery. Services the Fund will support are those to improve the quality of life for LGBTQ persons, including educational opportunities, health care, shelter, food insecurity and general social welfare to those whose lives may be significantly impacted with the assistance of the grants. Educational opportunities include but are not limited to the pursuit of a four-year degree, community college degree, technical school certification or degree, and/or other structured, organized and/or accredited educational opportunities; or financial support to pursue a career in technology, social services, business and more; and that will lead to securing a certification or academic degree and ultimately, improved employment and/or career opportunities.
